I don't really know. This was painted from a snapshot I took at a mountain man rendezvous several years ago. I don't know the gentleman, but I suspect he is not native at all. He was in front of a Sioux lodge and judging from his outfit and accoutrements, I assumed he was depicting a Sioux warrior. The original is for sale and includes a custom frame made out of actual tipi poles.
